If you have trouble getting past a boss combat, you are in the right place to discover how to succeed in it!
In the coming weeks we are going to share with you some very valuable tips.
Let's start with some general tips:
Bosses are powerful creatures that roam the lands of Ashan. In battle, bosses have a wide range of abilities and unique behavior. To defeat them, you’ll have to understand their pattern and design specific strategies to destroy them.
You’ll encounter two types of bosses in Might & Magic Heroes VI.
• End Boss: the typical boss creature is located at the end of a map and it is the last fight the player has to win before achieving victory.
• Mid Map Boss: the map does not end when the player defeats her and further fights await the player including a map ending encounter that is harder to win than the current boss fight.
Bosses typically act twice per combat turn. Some bosses are able to act even more times but these extra actions are typically enabled by abilities.
Bosses always use up their action: they can neither wait nor defend (with the exception of Azkaal).
Bosses are typically immune to:
• Crowd control (e.g. Blind effects)
• Mind Influence
• Movement reduction effects
• Initiative decrease effects
Developer’s Tip:
Having too much losses in Mid Map Boss battles increases the difficulty on the remaining of the map. Try to win these battles with as little casualties as possible. Boss battles are typically a lesser challenge if the player faces them with a bigger army. Waiting some more weeks for more troops will make the boss easier, but will also reduce your score. Choose carefully!
Next week we will explain how to deal with a specific Boss. Stay tuned!
