Corak the Mysterious
Corak was a scholar and explorer who traveled to many different worlds. In truth he was a Guardian, a powerful android created by the Ancients to stop the rogue Guardian Sheltem. With the help of many heroes and adventurers, Corak managed to foil several of Sheltem’s plans. Ultimately however, he had to sacrifice his own life in order to destroy his nemesis once and for all.

Trivia : Corak was only one representative of a whole series of Guardians, and another Corak appears at the end of Might & Magic VII.
Crag Hack
The legendary barbarian hero, Crag Hack, was present in nearly all the Might & Magic games in one form or another.

Trivia : there is another hero called Crag Hack in the Might & Magic role-playing games who is actually a Dwarf. And there is also a hero called Crag Hack on the world of Ashan, you might meet him some day…
Yog
Yog was a half-human, half-djinn, who seemed destined to become a wizard. However he rejected magic to embrace the barbarian blood that flowed in his veins. Yog is one of the main heroes of the Shadow of Death expansion for Heroes III.

Trivia: Yog originally appeared as a NPC in the RPG Might & Magic V: Darkside of Xeen.
Roland Ironfist
One of the two sons of Lord Morglin Ironfist, Roland was noble, good and honorable. However, he was framed for the murder of the Royal Seers and forced to exile. His brother Archibald, who was... not so good, used this opportunity to seize the throne of Enroth. This was the beginning of the Succession Wars. Roland would eventually emerge triumphant.

Catherine Gryphonheart
The daughter of king Nicolas Gryphonheart of Erathia, Catherine married Roland Ironfist after his victory in the Succession Wars. However, when her father died, she returned to Erathia to discover her homeland ravaged by a gruesome civil war. It turned out that her own father had been raised from the grave by the Necromancers of Deyja and was now leading the undead legions. Catherine managed to defeat her enemies and put her father’s soul to rest.

Gelu
A proud half-elf ranger of AvLee, Gelu was raised by the mysterious snow elves of Vori. He was key in defeating the Kreegan Devils and preventing them from unleashing the powers of Armageddon's Blade. Having seized the blade for himself, Gelu would ironically be the one to bring Armageddon down upon the world of Enroth, despite the efforts of Tarnum, the Immortal Hero, to prevent this terrible Reckoning.

Solmyr ibn Wali Barad
One of the most iconic characters of the Heroes saga, Solmyr was a djinn. Trapped in a lamp for thousands of years, he was one day freed by a wizard. Solmyr then swore an oath to serve that man “as long as his feet walked this world." It turned out this wizard was none other than Gavin Magnus, the Immortal King of Bracada. After the destruction of the world, his oath finally fulfilled, Solmyr sided with Emilia Nighthaven against a demented Magnus.

Emilia Nighthaven
Orphaned during the Reckoning, Emilia was a young sorceress who is forced by circumstances to become the leader of a group of survivors. When the Immortal King Gavin Magnus tried to claim her newly-found kingdom, Emilia made a stand to defend the freedom of her people. Against all odds and with the help of Solmyr, Emilia managed to defeat Magnus, but at a terrible cost. The epitome of courage and sacrifice, Emilia is one of the most memorable characters of Heroes IV.

Sheltem
Sheltem was a Guardian, an android created by the mysterious Ancients to rule over the world of Terra. However Sheltem started to resent the Ancients’ interference with his mission. Sheltem was finally taken into custody by another Guardian, Corak, because of his erratic behavior. Sheltem escaped and left a trail of deceit and destruction over several different worlds on his way back to Terra. Sheltem’s rampage was finally brought to an end by Corak, who sacrificed himself to destroy the mad Guardian.

Archibald Ironfist
Roland’s evil brother, Archibald murdered the Royal Seers and framed his brother for this crime. He then claimed the throne for himself and became a despotic ruler. He was ultimately defeated, but would return some years later with even more nefarious schemes, this time at the head of the Necromancers of Deyja. He showed some humanity at last when he decided to rescue his brother from the clutches of the Kreegans. Having been betrayed by one of his advisors, Archibald chose to retire in his laboratory and his true fate remains shrouded in mystery.

Sandro
Sandro was an evil, manipulative, power-hungry Lich whose Machiavellian schemes led to the civil war in Erathia. Sandro single-handedly allied the overlords of Nighon, the necromancers of Deyja and the Kreegan Devils against the kingdom of Erathia. He was also the mastermind behind king Nicolas Gryphonheart’s assassination. His plans were thwarted by a coalition of heroes and the betrayal of one of his own accomplices, and he was left to rot in an anti-magic cell. Sandro survived the Reckoning, and he was last seen trying to rebuild his old network of power in the world of Axeoth.

Mutare Drake
Mutare was once a young and ambitious warlock who wanted to take control over the lands of Nighon. In order to do this, she embarked on a quest to find the legendary Vial of Dragon Blood. Drinking the content of the vial, she was transformed into a fearful dragon. In her new form, she conquered Nighon and started to enslave other species of Dragons under her iron rule. Her goal was to invade the rest of the world with her dragon armies, but her plans were foiled by Tarnum, the Immortal Hero.
